About the opportunity

Provide education and training and clinical management across the disability sites based in  Western Sydney and regional sites. You will be responsible for educating and training Registered Nurses, EEN’s and AIN’s and other staff focused on clinical and quality care. You will be passionate about mentorship of junior staff and team and be a positive leader across each site and have an understanding of NDIS principles.

Duties

  • Daily oversight of management of facility and quality care
  • Provide leadership & mentorship to staff members (clinical and administrative)
  • Ensure resident lifestyle & care needs are met
  • Ensure quality & accreditation guidelines are met
  • Support of NDIS and best practice
  • Actively promote a culture of excellence

Skills and Experience

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Cert IV  in Workplace Training & Assessment
  • Ability to teach effectively and work in a culturally diverse environment
  • Staff training & education experience
  • Advanced written  and verbal skills
  • Experience with eLearning platforms
  • Experience with clinical management systems
  • Experience in teaching at a Tertiary institute or TAFE
  • Respectful inclusive communication skills
  • Experience in improving processes and developing competency frameworks
  • Understanding quality standards & accreditation indicators
  • Current Police Checks and Working with Children’s Check
  • NSW Driver’s Licence (ability to legally drive in the Sydney area)

Utilising your extensive clinical and managerial experience, you will motivate, lead and enhance the team to ensure standards of excellence are maintained. You will have previous experience in either disability or in an aged care setting.
